Feeling sick but aren’t sure if your symptoms match Coronavirus?

First, don’t panic. Your symptoms could be allergies, the common cold, or flu — but it’s best to be sure. Find out with Highmark’s COVID-19 Symptom Checker — a quick, easy-to-use online tool that’s available 24/7 to help you decide if it’s time to seek medical help and advise you on next steps.

Where do I go if I think I may have Coronavirus?

If you’re showing symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, the safest place to be — for you and for everyone else — is in your home.

Contact your primary care physician

A doctor can help you get a Coronavirus test at the right location if it’s determined that you need one — and prescribe medications as well.

Schedule a telemedicine appointment*

This is a great way to avoid leaving home when you are ill while still receiving the medical assistance you need. Telemedicine clinicians can cover basic screening questions and help you decide the best next step. Log into your member website to view your options or call the number on the back of your member ID card.

In case of medical emergency, call 911.

That means difficulty breathing or another emergency medical condition. It is recommended to call the ER so they can prepare for your arrival and limit your exposure to others.

Good news. No charge for COVID-19 treatment or telehealth visits.*

Most Highmark members who need in-network, inpatient hospital care for COVID-19 won’t have to pay for things like deductibles, coinsurance, or copays through December 31, 2021. Remember, we’re waiving all member telehealth costs through June 30, 2021, too.
