Do you have Coronavirus symptoms?

The purpose of the Coronavirus Self-Checker is to help you make decisions about seeking appropriate medical care. This system is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other conditions, including COVID-19. This system is intended only for people who are currently located in the United States. All information collected during your conversation is governed by our online privacy policy.

This project was made possible through a partnership with the CDC Foundation and is enabled by Microsoft's Azure platform. CDC's collaboration with a non-federal organization does not imply an endorsement of any one particular service, product, or enterprise.

Sorry. We need your consent to use the Self-Checker.

About Coronavirus symptoms

Coronavirus, or COVID-19, symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure and include:
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

If you or someone you care for is showing these symptoms, contact your doctor or, if your health insurance plan permits, schedule a telemedicine appointment. Your doctor will follow the CDC guidelines to see if testing is needed and then direct you to the facility. If you need help finding a doctor, call Member Service at the number on the back of your Highmark ID card.

If you’re showing the following symptoms*, call 911 — you may be having a medical emergency:
  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face

*This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
